New Mexicans protest outside BLM office over proposal to undo Chaco Canyon mining protections
A crowd of about 100 gathered outside the Bureau of Land Management’s Santa Fe office Wednesday afternoon to protest the federal agency’s proposal to eliminate or shrink a 10-mile ban on mining operations around Chaco Culture National Historical Park.
New Mexico utility regulators approve NM Gas Co sale to private equity firm
The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission approved the sale of New Mexico Gas Company to an affiliate of a Louisiana-based private equity firm in a 2-1 vote Thursday.
New Mexico AG sues CYFD over reports that staff instructed foster teen to cross Mexican border
New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez on Tuesday announced his office filed a lawsuit against the state’s child welfare agency following reports that agency staffers took a teenage boy out of the foster care system and told him to cross the U.S.-Mexico border to reunite with his estranged mother in Ciudad Juárez.
